Online resource – the Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network

One of the interesting websites I’ve found around on urban agriculture is the Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network. They have a range of useful fact sheets on the basics, including safety, composting, crop rotation, pest management and building no-dig beds. There’s also a garden finder to find community gardens near you, advice and directions for starting your own garden, and a survey going on at the moment to update their map. The post that caught my attention was on designs for street verge gardens, titled ‘Farmers of the Urban Footpath‘. The site’s worth an explore if you’re at all involved with any form of urban ag or community ag.
